Start your exchange

You'll get an organizer page with a private link for each person. Nothing is emailed, and no one, including you, sees the full list of pairings.

How it works

  1. Add names. Type everyone in, set a budget and date, and mark anyone who shouldn't draw each other.
  2. Share the links. Copy each person's private link into your team chat, a text, or a DM.
  3. Open and shop. Each person sees who they're buying for, adds their own wishlist, and gets gift ideas in budget.

Secret Santa Claws is run by Feral Scholar Media, LLC, which uses part of its earnings to fund trap-neuter-return care for feral cats, starting in India, where about $20 gets a street cat fixed and vaccinated. About us

Questions

How does Secret Santa Claws work?

Type in everyone's names, an optional budget and date, and any pairs who shouldn't draw each other. We draw names at random and give you a private link for each person. Send each person their link; it shows only who they're buying for, plus that person's wishlist.

Is it free?

Yes. Secret Santa Claws is free to use, with no sign-up, no subscription and no limit on the number of exchanges.

Do people need an email address or an account?

No. There are no accounts and we never ask for email addresses. Share each link however your group already talks: Slack, Teams, WhatsApp, text or email.

Can couples be excluded from drawing each other?

Yes. Add one pair per line, like "Sam + Alex", and the draw will never match them. Exclusions work both ways. If the exclusions make a draw impossible, you'll see a clear message.

Can the organizer see who drew whom?

No. The organizer page shows each person's link and whether it has been opened, but never the pairings. The organizer holds everyone's links in order to share them, and any link that gets opened shows as opened, so peeking doesn't go unnoticed.

What if someone loses their link, or we need to redraw?

The organizer can copy any link again from the organizer page. Names can be redrawn as long as nobody has opened their link yet, and everyone keeps the same link.

What happens to our data?

Names, wishlists and the draw are stored only to run your exchange and are deleted automatically around February 1, 2027. The organizer can delete an exchange at any time.

What is TNR?

TNR stands for trap-neuter-return: street cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated by a vet, then returned to their neighborhood. It's a humane way to reduce the number of homeless cats over time. Secret Santa Claws is run by Feral Scholar Media, LLC, which uses part of its earnings to fund trap-neuter-return care for feral cats, starting in India, where about $20 gets a street cat fixed and vaccinated.
